From England Netball East Region journal. | Westoning Junior Netball Club held a Charity Mother and Daughter Netball tournament on August Bank Holiday, in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. 12 girls from Years 7 and 8 teamed up with their mums (or adopted mum for the day) and played a series of games throughout the morning. A great time was had by all, especially hilarious was trying to shoot a ping pong ball through the net. |
There was a large assortment of balls slotted into the games at different times, just to test everyone’s skill on the day. Over £100 was raised for this very worthy cause, very close to the hearts of many of the Club members, as a dad from the village who was greatly involved in all sporting activities had sadly just died from the illness at the age of 42. |
